Nicole Chow, MS, CCC-SLP

  • Nicole Chow (she/her), MS, CCC-SLP earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO in 2005. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Park University, Parkville, MO in 2001. Nickie completed the ASHA Leadership Development Program in 2011. She has completed additional coursework in ASL-English Interpreting and ASL Linguistics. 

    Currently, Nicole is a Language Assessment Program-Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist and Sound START early intervention SLP (birth to 3) for the Kansas State School for the Deaf in Olathe, KS. Prior to joining KSD, Nickie was an SLP at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT in Rochester, NY. She is celebrating 19 years as a speech language pathologist, with 16 of those years working with the DHH population of all ages. 

    Nickie is a proud member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and has volunteered at the national level for several years. She has served as a Leadership Development Program applicant reviewer, an accreditation site visitor, a member of the Council on Academic Accreditation and chair of the Candidacy Committee, member of the ASHA 2024 National Convention topic committee for Listening, Language, and Speech for Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and has been selected as the Co-Chair for that committee for the 2025 convention.
